Hi!

Right now I work at the American International School – Riyadh in sunny Saudi Arabia with my wife Disha and our daughter Alia.  We’ve been here for 5 years now. Before coming to the Kingdom we taught in the United Arab Emirates, South Korea and Canada.

We haven’t been on this journey alone.  In 2013, we added another traveler to our family as our daughter Alia was born here in Riyadh.  Originally we hail from Southwestern Ontario in Canada and like to spend our summers there.

In the past, We’ve taught ESL to Korean children from age 7 all the way up to 18.  In Canada, we worked with elementary and middle school students.  In Abu Dhabi, I taught grade 4 and then K-7 Technology and since coming to Riyadh he’s taught HS Technology, worked as the School Technology Coordinator and is now the Director of Technology.  Disha worked as a grade 3 homeroom teacher in Abu Dhabi, started as a grade 4 homeroom teacher in Riyadh and is now an English Language Learner specialist. We love new experiences and that applies to both personal and professional pursuits.

Outside of work we have lots of hobbies.  I love sports.  I love playing sports, mostly golf, watching sports and even wagering on sports.  I’ll watch almost anything competitive.  We also love to travel.  In the past two years we’ve been to over 10 countries and this is one of the primary reasons we decided to work abroad.  I also loves technology!  I love gadgets and admittedly spends way too much money on them. Disha loves to read.
